Fremont, Calif. -- March 10, 2009 - 4DS, Inc., today announced that the company has secured additional funding from Poly Plant Project, Inc. (PPP) as part of a multi-million dollar equity investment.
Poly Plant Project, Inc. (PPP), based in Burbank, California, made its first investment into 4DS in December 2008, with additional funding contingent upon meeting milestones.
"We have been very impressed with 4DS's process technology and its potential to revolutionize the memory technology industry," said Poly Plant Project, Inc.'s COO Dan Feinberg. "We feel that the company's breakthrough technology, strong management team and breadth of available memory applications have strongly positioned 4DS in the market place."
The funds will be used primarily to expand 4DS's development of its proprietary production process that can easily be ported into existing semiconductor fabs. 4DS's low cost non-volatile memory, Resistive Random Access Memory (RRAM) is made using significantly less of the manufacturing mask steps than comparable memory technologies.
"PPP's investment during a very tepid investment climate is testimony to the strength of our technology and strategy," said Kurt Pfluger, CEO of 4DS, Inc. "We have demonstrated the leaps in performance, flexibility and cost from our proprietary process that will help enable a variety of compelling future memory applications. With this additional investment from PPP, we are better positioned to bring this technology to market."
4DS, Inc. is a non-volatile semiconductor memory company located in Silicon Valley. 4DS, Inc. is producing the next generation of memory products offering high capacity, high performance and low cost. 4DS has developed a new, low-cost process for mass-production. 4DS, Inc.'s revolutionary RRAM is produced using a proprietary process which easily fits into existing semiconductor fabs. 4DS, Inc. is a privately held US corporation located in Fremont, California and is a subsidiary of 4D-S Pty Ltd, an Australian Corporation.
